It seems that Little Carl & I weren't the only ones there, although I didn't see these others I've found the pics on the net.

This is a Vultures CC car. Used to be metallic green.

Unusually this European '57 Custom Royal Kustom wasn't there this year, but I'll include anyway it because I like it. It's called 'Faster than a speeding ticket'

My tow truck wasn't called for this year, so I couldn't get in for free. I'm not really fussed about hot rods, and I wasn't gonna pay £65 to get in...
My mates told that a lot of rodders from Europe were refused entry and turned away at the gates because they never realised you had to be pre-booked to get in..
I would of thought that the Hayride team would have the heart to let them in after driving all the way from Germany Holland Sweden etc. But sadly not so....

It was more a case of the event had sold out this time. Bookings were way up compared to previous years and there was mention of this and that there was going to be "some" weekend tickets available on the gate. That "some" amount of tickets sold out by 11am and the maximum limit was reached for the venue. This was out of the organisers control who could not breach the safety limit of the site. Anna and Jerry the organisers were not happy that people had to be turned away. Advice for next year is to book up or you're likely to miss out.

Yeah Carl, my mates told me that the reason was for safety regulations.. Just a shame for those poor buggers that drove all the way from Europe..
A couple of times I've had to take rods from the Hayride down to Dover and Southampton docks for their journey home because they had broken down..
It's usually a good earner for me, but not a sausage this year.. Free entry for me means I get to see my daughter in there with her '52 Ch*vvy truck....
