My 59 Mopar parts book shows a hood silencer, part number 1774676, for a 1959 Plymouth, although there was no reference to it on the pictorial breakdown for the hood. My car, purchased used in 1967, did not have a hood pad on it when I got it.  I've never seen a hood silencer on a 59 Plymouth.  What do they look like, and what is being used as a replacement when these cars are restored?  Thanks for your help.
