I am replacing the pass side leaf spring and sprucing up the inner wheel well while I am in there. I basically had to cut the whole thing out since all the nuts were frozen solid and wouldn't budge. The only piece that came out somewhat intact was the front spring mounting bracket. It had some unusual bolts attaching it to the frame that had a ribbing on the neck that held them in. Does anyone know where I can get those? There is also a rubber grommet that went into the rear opening where the shackle mounted.. does anyone know if there are Polyurethane versions of those and where to get them?...Please look at the pictures and comment. More rust and crud from my Desoto resurrection....

The bolt with the ribs looks like a wheel stud

In another recent thread they talked abouth those spring pads and someone said they used old canvas fire hose (good idea I thought)

As for the rest, I dunno

I would replace the spline bolts with standard plated hardware.

i had the bracket repaired by welding bolts in place i did the same thing for the shock mount bolt. I got two new springs from Deaver springs and they made the ubolts... not going to put the leather pads back on the bracket.. deaver said they are not necessary and were used for road noise..
