My '61 fury got another buff job but it was a light 1 , The car is going to be repainted in the future. I am deciding on painting the car candy apple red, with a white top or all candy apple red. I will post photos during the restoration and keep every body posted on the project.

IMO the paint looks gorgeous as it is. If it were my car I would not paint it, but that is just me. Beautiful car by the way..

Thanks but I was not sure what it was called . I tried to get 1 with holes for back speakers but I am going to have holes drilled so they can get air . I am debating on to get a pair of pioneer speakers for the back. Here is the parcel shelf waiting to be installed.
There is also another question to any foward looker who has a 1961 plymouth with power brakes how do you get to the master cylinder under the booster to check the brake fluid?

Same as the rest of them with boosters, you get a spanner and undo the bolt and then peer around the booster and see how much is there.

I like a lot of the mopar engineering, but that is the stupidest idea on the entire car

This car should have its own continuing thread, instead of a new subject every day, make it easier to follow whats going on

Yes and I am trying to figure a way to add the brake fluid . I might need to get a syringe for that 1

Are red and white the original colors for your car? Do you have the bellows style of brake booster? If so, you can have a helper step on the brakes for a little more clearance while you fill it. Don't overfill it, leave a little room for return fluid.

I too have the can type booster in my a Desoto and need to check the brake fluid. I suppose a big syringe and a length of flexible tubing will do the trick!

That's' what I do - I use a plastic syringe with a windshield wiper tube, Just suck up some brake fluid from the bottle and "inject" it in the m/c.
If you should have problems to get syringes, drill a hole in the brake fluid cap, just smaller than the tube you want to use - slant cut the tube and pull it through the cap - cut it straight and either keep it short for to use the bottle upside down, or long for to use the bottle standing up.

Squeeze the bottle and fill up the m/c

No, try to find the original speaker grilles and mesh x 2, the grilles comes with long studs so that you can mount your Pioneer speakers under the shelf - this will look totally period correct with great sound.

Me, personally, don't like the modern speaker grilles in an old car - they stand out like a wart on the nose

I use a turkey baster with a short piece of rubber tubing stuck on it's snout. You can also use it to suck up fluid. I've used it to remove the old fluid from Master Cylinders and PS pumps and then refilled them with fresh. It's not a complete change of fluid of course but better then nothing.
