Hello,

I am pondering wider wheels and tires on the rear of my 60 Windsor. Does anyone know what the widest wheel and tire I could go would be? 8"? Should I use 15's?

Hola Chris

If you seek a full set of 15 inch wheels from a 1986-1988 Diplomat, New Yorker or a like year Dodge - you will have a full set of wheels that match in size and they fit in The Spare Tyre
Carrier Space in your car.

At a local pick & pull the set is about $100 ---Total.

15 inch wheels was a era requirement by some Hwy Patrol Purchases ( with Black Walls ).

you could possibly go ten but only if you can get the correct back spacing and with older wheels that might be a problem . with new custom sized steel wheels i can see
it working ----------------------------------------------------later

Hi Chris,

I ran 255/35R20 on my '61 Newport Sedan which is 9". No mods just have to have the right back space which is close to 6".
