It is mated to a 1958 318" engine is all I know. With the figures below, can you tell me what series and year of car, it came out of? The kick down level shaft is broken and I need to find another one. Any help finding one is appreciated.
It is a 727 torqueflite, I believe.

transmission casting #1854-220-11
tail shaft # 1854492
stamped 220475230-1970251
oil pan has 18 bolts, and pan is 12.5" wide and 13.5" long
thankyou

Hi
With that casting number and serial number I would say your Transmission is NOT an A-727 Aluminum case Torqueflite its a 1961 A-466 cast Iron Torqueflite specifically a "Service" unit that was intended to act as a replacement for service part number 2204752 & 2204753. Obviously in the past it replaced the '58 Cast Iron Unit originally attached to your engine. The major change between the '58 unit and the '61 Unit that you have is the shift cable entry into the case and its adjustment design; actually the change was implemented in 1960. 1961 was the last year for the cast Iron Torqueflite. For transmission "Hard" parts I've gone to Northwest Automatic in Winchester Ohio , they have a large inventory and reasonable prices and fast service. Ph 1-800-327-1955 or 1-937-442-2811
