Expert 5K+ Posts: 8445 Location: Perth Australia | All bleeders are above so the air bleeds out the top of the cylinders

Expert Posts: 1906 Location: Ontario, Canada | Yes, Mick is right. All bleeders at the top. It is easy to install them upside down. Been there done that but don't do what I did. As we continued to get a soft pedal, I accused my wife (the pedal pusher) of not doing things correctly or when I told her. BIGGGGGG MISTAKE, Greg

User has resigned from board | thanks , ahhh $$$$!!!++++ , after reeding every soft pedal, low brake pedal , wont bleed after hours and hours of bleeding threads, i wonder how many others have done this and are not aware of this easy mistake, then both cars are on wrong , i used the decent brake pedal car for reference, no big deal, i love fixing these forward look cars, even if i have to fix stuff 5 times, love them

User has resigned from board | so having bleeder screws on ass backwards would prevent me from getting a firm pedal. my 61 plymouth with bleeder screws on ass backward had a very good pedal at least i thought it was good until now, live and learn thanks again

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8445 Location: Perth Australia | If your lucky, you will get any trapped air out with them om upside down (your 61 sounds that way). I think (from memory) I drip bled my dodge ones from the bottom (front) cylinders before I properly bled them to get everything filled with fluid first

User has resigned from board | well after further review the top wheel cylinders were on correct, but the lower wheel cylinders are wrong, oposite, so i left as is , i rebuilt the MC and bleed the brakes, pritty good pedal , ill know better tomorrow after a ride and another shoe ajustment, why hasnt anyone come out with a CAP for the suicide MC, so u could easily presure bleed them , i think there would be plenty of buyers $$$, also some one should start taking the rear drum hubs apart and sell the hubs so u could use the later drums and avoid the hassel involved with the removal process and possible damage to the tapered threads , again im sure many would change over and buy them $$ i cant, i dont have the time or the skill thanks again
