Your best bet is to wait for the Historical Society to re-open to the public, o.o.a. 4/21/14. That's a Monday, so, I'd send in my request for their info early in the week of 4/14-18/14, because the CHS has been returning requests-for-information, instead of keeping them on file, until they re-open. | ||

Expert Posts: 1819 Location: Vancouver, BC | The 6-cylinder Detroit-built Plymouth serial numbers began at 14,280,001 and ended at 14,410,539, making 130,539 built. This car is number 14,397,294, making it the 117,294th built, if I am reading it right. 1957 was the last Chrysler Corporation used a non-decodable, sequential, numeric serial number. The other tag - 103 2520 - is the body tag. 103 - Plaza 2dr Business Coupe 2520 - not sure if #1 was 101, or 1001, so it is either the 2,420th built or the 1,520th - in Detroit. Cars built at Evansville would have 103E and LosAngeles 103L. Newark began late in the year and used the letter N. Total production of the Plaza 2dr Business Coupe came to 2.874.
