| Hello first time poster here also my first mopar I have a 61 belvedere and it will only run with a hot wire to the coil sum times it will run with out sum times it won't lol any help would be appreciated I will post pics soon as I finish work thanks |

Location: Perth Australia | Any number of things really, but, the first port of call would be the ballast resistor, assuming the rest of the wiring is good.
May be the ign bypass circuit is faulty (especially if you use the wire to get it running, then remove it and it keeps running)
You really need to do some testing first to see why you need to have it hotwired.
When you get some pics up, it will help as it makes it easier to see the condition of the car, which helps in diagnosis (all rebuilt = something left off or not connected, barn fresh or clunker = worn out and or damaged parts)

| Thanks guys I have to download photo bucket I'm in the process its garage fresh was on the road in 2010 but its got wiring ghosts I'm not sure if these came with an alternated or not but it has one wires are cut and it doesn't charge I'm going to download or find a wiring diagram the wires are hooked up but spliced and scary looking everything else works perfect they put a push button horn in I would love to figure out how to fix the original |
