Drove BUD, my '55 CRL 2 door yesterday for the 1st time. Drove it about 10 miles from the
front end alignment guru back home Front end alignment believe it or not was within the specs
posted in the FSM. This after I had torn it completely down, cleaned and painted every part from
the frame out, and installed an AAJ disc brake kit.

The problem now is that there is at least eight inches of "free play" in the steering wheel before
there is any input in the directional control of the front wheels. There appears to be excess movement
at the manual steering box if the steering wheel shaft before the Pitman arm moves, and it
appears that the idler arm is in need of repair also.

How is the 'lash' adjusted on the manual steering box? There does not appear to be a lash adjusting
screw on the steering box in my '55'

I know there are a couple of threads about using ball bearings to rebuild Idler Arms, but I can't
seem to find them.

Any help/suggestions will be appreciated.
