Hola Yo'll

In 1956 Windsor's had a 2 bbl 331 and a 4 bbl 331.

Where is The ID Stamping for these engines ?

While I'm here --- what is The ID Stamping for a 1955 301 and the later 354 cubic inch size ?

Roger, The engine stamping is just in front of the valley pan on the block. Right behind the water pump. The 4 barrel 331poly would be the power pac option. I don.t know if the engine number will tell you that. Does the car have factory dual exhaust?.....................................MO

The 1956 Windsor has even the raised and chromed 250 on each rear fender.

I asked about the other years because it has been some time from 1956 and knowing what to look for eliminates "the what if's".

Not knowing where to focus my search to - I have the number 164864-1 from one head.

Yup, It is a power pak engine. I forgot about that 250 emblem. People ask me what a Z50 is. The #2 does look like a Z. The head number doesn't mean anything to me as my original engine was junk and mine had a DeSoto engine in it when I bought it.....................MO
