Location: Chicago, IL | Are any of you guys running factory steel wheels with your disc brake conversions? I understand the 14" wheels will not work, I'm talking about the 15" wheels.
I'm almost done with the scarebird kit on my 60 Savoy and I'm having issues with clearance using the stock 15" wheels that have the spring clips for the center caps. I knew there would be issues with clearance going into it, but it seems like a lot of interference.
Steel wheels are my only real option as this is a clone of a police car and nice rims would look out of place. If need be, I'll go to the more standard 15" wheels without the clips as I have both types of hubcaps available. |

Location: Under the X in Texas | Its a police car so why not consider Mopar "cop wheels"? Available 6-10" wide, 15" diameter. |

Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | Not sure what you are looking for, but I am running 14" chrome Chevy smoothies on my car. Aren't 14" stock on 1960 Plymouths anyway? I believe my wheels are basically just stock 14" chrome reverse 7" wheels which I have chrome caps on. I think these are the same size caps as standard "Rally" caps and baby moons. My stock wheel cover will fit them, as far as I know. Haven't tried them yet. My tires are 215-75R 14. I have the AAJ brake conversion on the front and have no issues with clearence. If you are looking for totally stock, I am not usre how they will clear.
Sorry for the poor picture. i was in my garage with a flashlight for this pict.

Location: Victoria, BC, on Vancouver Island, Canada | I bought the AAJ Disk brake kit and used it with my stock 14" wheels before I bought the 15" wire wheels. The AAJ kits are made specifically for these cars with very little or no mods needed. |
