Originally, the hydraulic switch was screwed directly into the mc. The brass fitting is an adapter to allow a switch with a different width to work with the port on your mc. You can find the fitting at an auto parts store.

Question: How do you plan to remove the broken piece from the mc ?

Ron

hmmm, i ended up stripping down the MC with the broken fitting and installed everything in a spare empty MC i had on my shelf ,    , murphyslaw strikes again  ,  2 auto stores i checked  had nothing,  now on the brake switch mine has two prongs sticking out,  and my wires snape over them ,  the correct brake switch iv seen on ebay that would fit directly into the MC have either just 1 prong with the other prong missing or 2 open prongs   not sure why the diff in the attachment,   but the one i have is fine  i just gotta find a fitting    try another store tomorrow   thanks again

okay i scored the correct brass fitting for the presure switch, while at this old time parts/engine building place, i also found an orig filko sls-29a switch, scrrews right into the MC , i have they orig boot plug ins, this switch has one prong and another hollow prog with a small clip at end    just wondering how i attach my boots to this  can i or has the wiring for the presure switch been changed, my starter relay also has these same type conectores  which i think are orig to the car
