Location: Under the X in Texas | Are you intending to say short and tall filter elements? All the oval side-mount type filters use the tall element because they have room to do so. Those are still readily as paper filters available in Wix brand for $11 each. I bought a pair at O'Reilly a week ago. All the oval top mount type filters like the 300D, E, H take the short filter element because they do not have the hood clearance. These have gotten very difficult to come by and in paper I've seen them as high as $49 each.
K&N makes a very high quality filter and I'm glad they are available. If you own them remember to wash them and re-oil periodically. |
