There was hundreds and hundreds of cars but these were the only dodge and chrysler they had, there was lots of Fords though from the early 30's through the 1960's lots of Chevys too.

Oh yes my friend owns the 56 Dodge coupe. Hes also got a 1957 Dodge Lancer coupe in perfect condition and a 59 Olds super 88

I love that Chrysler Saratoga. I always liked the door handles and the exterior styling. And the 56 Dodge coupe is a gem.

Really?!? You've never seen a 1959 Buick in person before? That surprises me. One source says Buick made 285,089 cars during the model year so they were plentiful. Even today they shouldn't be all that rare. I grant you though that the majority of these cars disappeared from daily driver use about 20 years ago.

I preferred the look of the 1959 Buick over that of the 1959 Chevy with its cat's eye taillamp housings - that was too far out in space for my taste. I liked the way the 1960 Buick's styling evolved too. If I were to buy a Generic Motors car the 1960 Buick is probably what I'd buy.

Here's a picture of a 1960 Buick as a teaser.

Notice that the 1959 - 1960 Buick Fins, even though they appear to be flying high, they are virtually horizontal with the beltline of the car. In fact, all of the 1959-60 GM stable of those that sprouted fins, they are all virtually horizontal except Cadillac, and even Cadillac toned them down somewhat for 1960. GM didn't want their lesser lines to have fins as big as those on the Caddy! This was mentioned in one of the GM salesman training videos about the 1957 Caddy, that the 1957 Imperial's fins were not as prominent as those on some of the lesser models, compared to the Caddy fins for 1957 which was the only 1957 GM car other than Chevy that had fins, and the Chevy fins had no height to them. Caddy had to out-do the lesser models!!
