At Advance Auto I tried to find the bearing for my rear axle. She looked up the part and found nothing for the "rear Axle" but did find something under "rear wheel bearing driveshaft" for 1958-62 Plymouth. She asked if this is what they looked like but they all look the same until I have one out to compare to. I just Googled the bearing # and it shows they are for Fords. Can anyone tell me the correct bearings and seals and are they still available so I can have them before I pull the axles?
The Advance bearing # is same as Timkin or National #25877 and the race is #25821. Are these good #s?
Thanks again for any help,
karl.

Get the original Chrysler part #'s for that application and go from there.
Any parts store or bearing house should be able to interchange them for you.
I'd look them up, but have no clue as to what you are working on.
Is it the original rear end for the car or has it been replaced w/something later model?

Parts books can be found here http://www.jholst.net/300resource/index.php
There are also service manuals located there as well
I suggest you read the sections applicable to your vehicle.
FYI:
If you do not have the proper tools and are not familiar with this type of repair,
it will be best left t a shop that does.

go to section 3, rear axle
look for your parts in the exploded view, the part type code will be listed
bearings are code 3-30 they are called drive shaft bearings for some reason and not axle bearings
I know, it gets folks confused.
you should replace the inner and outer seals at this time also, part type code 3-35

Good luck!

Thanks, don't know why I never thought of cross-referenceing. The bearings I got are correct.
