My Parking Brake Lever assembly doesn't hold the Pedal where I push it down to. If I keep my foot on the pedal, the parking brake engages. When I take my foot off the pedal, the car rolls. There doesn't seem to be any loos or broken return springs. The fact that engages with my foot on the pedal, tells me its probably not the brake assembly. Could it be the cable assembly?
Is There an adjustment for the cable?

When you push down on the pedal can you hear a ratcheting sound? (clickety-clickety-click) If not, the pawl spring is probably missing.

Yes, I hear the clicking, but it'll slip just enough to not hold the brake.

Again, check that a spring is pulling the pawl firmly into the lever cogs....if it is look for rounded off tip on the pawl.
