Location: Layton, Utah | Hi, My 61 Newport Wagon is missing the 2 horizontal pieces of stainless at the bottom of the tail gate. One is thinner than the other. There is a textured aluminum panel that fills the gap between them but mine is OK. If New Yorkers have the same two stainless strips please let me know. The clips would also be nice. Thanks, Cory. Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | I would really like to get a hold of P.W.s for my wagon. Unfortunately[guessing yours are 4 drs?] mine is not a 4 dr. hardtop. My parts interchange book shows the Newport wagons to have the same door glass as the hardtops. Apparently Chrysler didn't make sedans in those years 1960-64 but your glass is the same as Dodge + Plymouth 1960-61 hardtops.
I am looking for spare tailgate parts. Glass, the P.W. parts, the chrome escutcheon around the key/switch. Good enough to rechrome. I think having any spare wagon parts is a good idea.
Are either 9 pass.? I might be looking to convert mine.
I am heading to the 1000 Islands this weekend. I will get back to you when I get back. If it is worth the trip and you would have the time, maybe I can drive down and pick up some parts?
Later,
Karl. |

Location: Valley Forge, Pa. | Hello,
Just wonering if you still have the wagons? If so, would either have the chrome bezel for the PW switch on the tailgate?
Were either 2 seaters? I may be looking for the panel over the spare wheel as mine is slightly cave in.
Maybe some of the glass?
Thanks for your time and any answers,
