Location: Arizona | Looking for info on where the fuses are in my 60 matador. I have a wiring diagram but it seems to provide no info on where the fuses are. I did a search here on forwardlook.net and didn't find anything. I got the idea somewhere that there is a fuse right on the switch for the variable speed wipers. And I got the idea that there was one or more fuses on the headlight switch. Crawling under the dash yesterday (I thought I'd blown a fuse but it turned out I didn't) and looking up toward the Headlight switch I was not able to see much of anything but wires. Now that I've gone looking and can't find them it worries me as to what would I do if a fuse blew away from home? Hard to replace what you can't find.
So where are the various fuses located? How many are there? Anybody got any info? |

It has circuit breakers, the one on the wiper switch is the easiest to see, its a tin box, about 1 " long x 1/2" x 1/2", 1 wire on it, the output goes to a metal link thats on the switch
The circuit breakers are auto reset, so provided you dont completely cook it and you work out whats causing the short and fix it (if it does trip out), you can just keep going as it resets itself

When I first got my Dodge I looked for ages for a fuse somewhere/anywhere only to find from a fellow forwardlooker later on that it didn't have any.
I share your frustrations.............

Location: Arizona | So .... One is on the wiper switch. There is a fuse for the heater. Usually the headlight switch has a built in circuit breaker, is that true here? What other circuit breakers are there and where are they? |
