Location: bishop, ca | Using this candidate as an example, how difficult (and expensive) would it be to
install power steering and power brakes systems into it (as part of a 'complete'
restoration project on/of it?
This car's primary mechanical attraction is the fact that the P/S and P/B operations would be relatively
'easy' and straight-forward and NON-redundant in the work-labor-departments.This car is very
nicely optioned...and with an apparently intact headliner, I don't see any Unobtanium parts that would
be required.
With P/S (particularly) and P/B (go for it...) this would be a really nice, PRETTY driver, after a
relatively easy restoration.
It's a Custom Coronet model, that, even, has the OEM-optional CARPETING in it (instead of the
standard (Unobtanium-) rubber floor mats.
Since the car has the standard 2-bbl/single exhaust system in it, a 4-bbl Power Pack, or
a 3-duece carb set up, along with a re-ground camshaft, could be installed in it, as being
what an in-the-day owner/rodder could well have done to it.

A LOT of people are interested in this ride/project, and with 4+ hours to go on it, the Reserve-Met price is a very reasonable $4K+
Being a Coronet, this car will have the optional 951/952 torsion bars already on it.
The OEM-rodder/enthusiast could easily find and install a sway bar system, from any
57 Custom Royal or Custom Sierra wagon model, which carried the sway bars on them,
as standard equipment.
PICS!

Location: bishop, ca | One of the first check-out projects on this car would be finding out if the trunk stays 'fully-up', by itself (Limp Deck Syndrome)
and whether its interior leaks (like a sieve) around the lower edges of the back glass, at/on the parcel shelf area.
Evidence may/will be abundant.
The upper edge of the windshield can leak, too, without leaving any-much evidence of it...until you douche it down real 'good' with a hose.
