So I've been having trouble getting my tail lights to work.
I have blinkers, but, they go really fast. I have brake lights when I press on the pedal, but, no running lights. I do get voltage when I have them on, but no light.
I'm assuming its a grounding problem, but I know I could be wrong.
What am i missing here?

It could be grounding (as you said)

But without seing exactly what you have (pictures of the light), lets see how I go

First of all, make sure you bulb is good AND the CORRECT type (should be a 12v 21/5 watt)

I have seen it many times where someone puts a 12v 21watt double contact bulb in instead (Look inside the bulb, should be 2 filaments on the correct bulb).

You did not say wether you dash lights of front parkers are working, but I assume they are (if not, start looking at the switch)

How are you testing for voltage?

On this circuit, for this problem, use a test light (light bulb type, not LED), this is because the voltage you may be reading, may not have any current behind it (a rotted out wire can do this), the test light puts a small load on the circuit and will light up if there is voltage AND current available.

The light bulbs ground through the socket itself, so unless there is a ground wire attatched to the socket, make sure its mounted and has a good "Earth"

See how you go and let us know

You have to be methodical about this, but basically, check the bulbs, check the supply into the socket, check the socket earthing, all good should mean ALL GOOD

That's what it is.... the socket. For one I was testing by myself, had the dang thing out so I could see it. Hey thanks so much, I've been beating my head against the wall on this one!
