That is the "Hollywood" or deluxe wheel horn ring . . . yes the are delicate. The standard ring is even worse. I would say a good 75% of them have the top part of the "ring" broken off.

Yes, surprisingly, it is harder to find a good standard ring than it is to find a good Hollywood ring even though the Hollywood ring is thinner. If you find a Hollywood wheel to go with the ring, do let me know. I have one, but would like another.
