i'v always  had a somewhat soft brake pedal on my 61 compared to my 60,  today after rebuilding the MC  and bleeding MC and the lines and making shoe ajustment, i still was not happy with the pedal, then i notice the pedal was very firm as i backed up the 61, but became somewhat softer after going forward , hmmm   my understanding is the rear shoe on the rear drums are mostly used for stopping in reverse, so i take a closer look at the front rear shoes  and ajust them up as close as close can be,  and wala, my brake pedal became quite firm,   im always reading the threads about the shoe ajustment and soft pedal,  so this may help those frustrated with a softer than what they might want brake peddal
