When this car was put out to rest, can you imagine what it would be like now if it would have been garage and covered. Makes me sick that people couldn't see the beauty and style of an era of cars that would never happen again. Sigh !!!

Yes, it is so sad to see a once incredible automobile in such pitiful condition. Maybe in Arkansas dollars the steering wheel is worth $750, but there is easily the asking price in parts there, with minimal effort. Appears to be a non- A/C LeBaron.

Can anyone enlighten me on the hose on top of the air cleaner ? I have a '60 Crown and it has a hose fitting on top of the air cleaner similar to this one, but nothing is attached to it. I assumed a previous owner had added it as I had not seen another like it, until this car.

Maybe 750 was a little too high but a whole car for $750 is/was a deal.

The adds still up

For 750, I would have a crack at it

Not sure I could get it up to its former glory, but I am sure I could make it a driver, provided its still got floors in it

That engine looks like its still sealed, so theres a chance it hasnt turned into a mouse condo (like I bet the seats have)

Not worth it for you John?

That car is one of the last remaining cars from Roger Brannon's collection, at one time he had 300 cars, a wide variety of makes, stored in poultry barns. Unfortunately, dementia forced him into a care facility, and a friend is helping liquidate the collection to help pay doctor bills. This car was stored outside, so rust has compromised the body parts.

I may have a crack at this Imperial if it is still available Monday.

In every 60-62 LeBaron that has sat outside, you can always see the lead seam line around the standard back glass opening of the roof. Cool car, if it were not a billion miles away from me I would have bought it already. Hope one of you get it.

It looks like it was originally white. I also like the small rear window, it looks like the rear window on my R/T-SE Challenger. My 57 Adventurer has a hose running from one of the air cleaner housings to a valve cover. An old Mopar guy told me that it was done for emissions reasons. It was a San Francisco car. I may be wrong and would like to hear further on this subject if any of you gurus know.

Yes, it was a California thing. Ntt sure if it was mandated, but a LOT of older cars got the crank
vent return retrofit.

There was a time when CA cars from 55-60 had be retrofitted with emission devices added. 61 and 62 cars as well if they were from out of state originally.

I suspected the hose may have been some sort of California emissions requirement, however, my '60 Crown spent its entire life within about 150 miles of Kansas City.

Based on how the leading edge of the hood is eaten away and the condition of the front of the core support, I would suspect that virtually no sheet metal on this car is salvageable. Still it's a steal at the asking price for people within driving distance.

This car shows the CLASSIC 1960 leading-in of the LeBaron's back window opening, into the standard 1960 IMP's body structure.

Those welding-scars exist visually, fully-formed, on virtually every such LeBaron that was built.

Some owners/dealers must have corrected this defect, at least, on some of the '60 LeBarons that were built.
