I have been collecting parts for an aluminum Torqueflite project. I was planning to convert my '61 Newport to an automatic, and wanted to use the best factory parts available. Interests have changed a bit, and I'm going to keep my car a manual.

Here's what I have:

-'65 Aluminum Torqueflite from a New Yorker with 75,000 miles (removed 10 years ago and in dry storage since) swapped in '62 Torqueflite valve body and pan with drain plug. Original '65 valve body available if desired.

-Includes speedometer cable, shift cable, and park cable along with a '62 Chrysler PB shifter unit and a '63 Chrysler park lever assembly, '62 transmission cross-member and mount assembly (complete), torque converter, choice of 2BBL or 4BBL kickdown linkage.

This setup is the best of all worlds, retaining exact PB setup from earlier cars, adding slip-yoke to ditch the ball & trunnion driveshaft, add park function, and the advantage of a pan filter and drain plug.

$1000 for transmission setup. Will not separate parts. This will probably have to be shipped on a pallet unless it's picked up.

Also was planning to convert to spindled axles, and have a complete 8 3/4 from a '66 Dodge Monaco. 742 casting, 2.76 gears and 10 X 2 brakes. New brakes and brake hardware including wheel cylinders, drums turned, new pinion seal and brake lines. Includes emergency brake cables. Cleaned, painted and ready to drop in. This unit will put an end to tapered axles.

$1000 for axle assembly. Will also have to be shipped on pallet unless picked up.

Please PM me if interested in either item. I'll be happy to discuss and answer any questions you may have.

Thanks,

Brian

Any interest in the transmission by itself? Let's make a deal!
