After a little searching I'm not finding any new repop fuel tanks for the '56.

What I need is the top view of the tank; I'm contemplating fuel injection and I'd like to see what the top of the tank looks like without having to remove mine.

It's true, there are no repops. Here are photos of an original 56 Plymouth tank.

Thanks, just what I needed. If it's still out could you measure the tank depth at the sender hole?

Me to, but I wonder if retrofitting the original tank (that is probably in questionable condition) with an electric fuel injection pump, return line, etc. and still have the fuel gauge sender work is the best route to take. If you could find a new or good used tank that matched the fuel injection vehicle application and would fit in your original location maybe not an option?

I did the repo mustang tank (non-fi) swap into my shop truck and it has been great so far. I’m sure some aftermarket manufacture could build you a FI tank and take your money!

You are lucky though if your car is a sedan type with a flat floor mount, mine is a Suburban with the fender well tank (Fuel injected minivan tank, maybe?) or use the spare tire well area?

Thanks.
