I've been looking at a possible cam upgrade for my 318 poly an found this website for Camcraft Cams.

These are made from brand new blanks rather than re grinds. Just thought I'd share.

Hola Carl

I looked at their A-318 information ( http://www.camcraftcams.com/index.php?page=318-chrysler ) and see only words ( aka hype ).

In England - what is the vehicle speed that you normally drive at. To Me - I would target this vs any other thoughts.

Hi Rodger, Well it's anything from stop/start sitting in traffic to 30 to 40 in town and up to cruising at 70mph (maximum speed limit on motorways). I don't like the sitting in traffic part but it happens.....
I sent an enquiry to them telling them I have a poly and seeing what my options were as I have the Wieand single plane intake that the car came with.
I got back
" Our most popular cam is a 24-1212-10A4  (m). It has 212 duration @.050 with .435 lift and 110 lobe separation. We try to keep these in stock. Cost is $235.00 + shipping. The lifters are about $140.00 + shipping. If we do not have any in stock allow about a week for production. These cams are intended for basically stock engines and have great throttle response. They have a pretty smooth idle."

I do need to change my cam as the one that's in the car has pits on the back of the lobes from water damage (I had a major water in the oil problem). I only ran this temporarily whilst seeing if the rest of the engine was OK.. That temporarily has run into 3+ years so I thought I'd better get round to it

Just had a look on Rock Auto for camshafts there. They have EngineTech camshafts but whats puzzling is the span of years it covers '57 to '89!! part no ES1089R
