Hi all,

I am still in course of reassembling my 58 HT Belvie after painting,  and unfortunately I have lost track of the original routing of the doors gaskets.

I wonder if there is anybody who could post a picture of the front and rear gasket arrangement?

thanks........................

Sorry, I should have written " doors weatherstrips" and not "door gaskets". I apologize.

They ARE tricky to install, correctly.

But the way to check their installation alignment is to apply talcum powder on them, and then to close
the door(s)....there should be no residual-untouched talcum powder lying on the weatherstripping.

There is a curved lip just inside the outer edges of the door and the seal goes there. I checked my 59 Dodge FSM, it has couple pics of this but it is for a sedan. There is one pic for a hdtp and the seal just ends at the point where the window comes down flush with the door. Hope this has been of some help. Jerry

one friend around here had a Savoy 4dr ht under work - so he let me shoot some pictures of the weatherstrips routing.

who could imagine that on front doors the rubber has to make a Z bend to join the continuation of the curved lip....

I'll post the pics as I got home tonight.
