Expert Posts: 1223 Location: Ramona, CA | I'm missing the rubber strip that goes on top of the radiator core support. I found these clips on ebay but they're listed for a 1961. Can anyone tell me if they are right for a 1960 Chrysler as well? Some detailed picture of the rubber strip and how it's mounted would be helpful. Thanks. I do beleive that there are 2 different sizes but I'm not sure. As for how it's mounted, we have debated this and it seems like the factory mounted them as they pleased. The most logical way, at least for me is to mount them on top on the radiator yoke as in my car. The force of the air will lift the rubber lip upwards towards the hood/insulation and seal better. Heres a picture of my car.... (IMG_1418-res.jpg) Attachments ---------------- IMG_1418-res.jpg (210KB - 88 downloads)

Location: Under the X in Texas | There were two sizes of these fasteners, smaller and larger. RJ&L Fastener carries at least one of them I always called them "butterfly clips" because you fold the wings to expand the small end and fasten. Good luck.

Expert Posts: 1223 Location: Ramona, CA | So I need to know the hole size in the core support to match to the size of the clip where it necks down? I couldn't see how they attach but now that you mention folding them, I see that they might just spring into the hole. I'm hoping I have the rubber strip from my old car somewhere to compare or get the clips. I ordered a new one from Gary Goers but haven't gotten it yet.

Location: Under the X in Texas | They are not spring steel. They are stamped and folded steel approx the gauge of sheet metal. They can be folded to attach and detach 2, maybe 3, times before they crack.

The later ones are much easier since they're like door panel clips.
