Useable core or something 'fresh'? |

Location: New Castle PA | I'm sure he wants something that looks correct, whether new or good used. It's IBP-4001, which is correct for a '57 Firedome 341 hemi. He was sold the car with a distributor that had its guts replaced with an electronic module that isn't working properly. He'd like to go back to the original points, but doesn't have the innerds of the distributor as a place to start from... |

Location: New Castle PA | I've been contacted by a nice Forward-Looker who may be able to help. Assuming he and the fellow who needs this part can get together on price, etc. I'd say this issue has been solved. THANK YOU. |

Location: bishop, ca | The MONEY angle may have been resolved, but the distributor's PERFORMANCE, and its Miles-per Gallon allowance
(no matter what/which OEM "hemi-spec" distributor has been found)....will be very problematic, BUT, improvable.
The owner needs to send the distributor to a dissie repair/overhaul facility, like The Philbin Group, so that
it can be re-curved and have light-weight return-springs be installed in it.
The Hemi distributors have woefully conservative timing-curves engineered into them.
Lotsa unrealized performance and MPG are hidden inside their OEM specifications.
