After a year since a freeze plug popped off and caused an overheat, finally the 361 is out again.

The diagnostic was that 2 cylinders (1-3) were with no compression at all, so I was very worry about it. A complete overhaul after only 660 miles maybe painful but needed....

Finally after a long time, my friend took it apart yesterday and discovered that 2 exhaust valves were bent, for cylinders 1 and 3 and the push-rods are bent too. The rest of the engine is perfect.

The missing freeze plug is showing in the picture, and also the bad installation method in the others is evident too.

Denis, please check up what seems to be a crack in the block in Picture (11000549_338141129725262_1470546044_o.jpg), or is it an optical illusion?

Hope this turns out to be an easier fix than doing a full rebuild again!

if your goin to start from scratch , you might want to have the core plug holes machined to accept cup style plugs . it'll make em easier to install and you won't have
the worry of them comin out -------------------------------------------later

Thanks a lot guys for the ideas, yes the whole engine will be disassembled cleaned and painted again, only the cylinder heads repair and new rings set will be added. Still a lot of work!

If the block is cracked and you're doing a complete overhaul, why fix the crack instead of replacing the block?
