Dad had a '56 Custom Royal from '58-'65 when someone hit him and he had to take it off the road. About a month ago, I landed another '56 CR for myself, but didn't tell dad about it. When my folks arrived in the driveway today for a visit, he could hardly believe his eyes! We spent most of the day sitting in and talking about this CR and how it compared with his. He loved his '56 and he told me today, that he didn't think he would be able to ever sit in another one again. He's looking forward to driving it when I get it on the road. I guess you could call that a Forward Look! My, how it made his day and mine too, seeing him enjoying it!

Nice work Amigo! Days like that will stay with you for a long time. You better get to work on that old ride, and go pick the Old Man up.

The car looks great too.

Good luck!

Steve.

What a great event, Craig! Something about a man and his car. Sitting behind the wheel triggers memories of days gone past,
especially when you're sitting behind the wheel of the same kind of car!

Great event, Craig! You're lucky to have your father around. Years ago my Dad helped me 'rejuvenate' a 1964 Dodge Polara 4-dr sedan that I bought from a little old lady in 1985. It was stuffed into her garage in Princeton NJ from 1970, and I had to buy it without seeing the front end or lifting up the hood. All I knew was that it had dual exhausts and the body was as straight as an arrow, as the old gal wouldn't let me push the car out unless I bought it. She wanted $750 cash-in-hand! This 'brown', V8 sedan turned out to be a forest green 426 wedge with 22,000 miles. Dad drove that car until his passing in 1992
and like you I'll never forget the look on his face when I gave it to him. I miss him every day of my life----count your blessings!----Fred
