Temporarily suspended to cool off Posts: 316 | So my 1960 Phoenix has some sort of ford radiator in it. It's only a 2 row thing and I seriously doubt it's ability to keep a polyhead happy. I have not had any luck finding a reproduction unit, so, I need to beg, barrow, buy, or steal one.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 8445 Location: Perth Australia | Rebuilding an original will be more expensive than an alloy one Just depends on wether absolute originality matters or not The radiator in mine was meant for an early 70s valiant and its still just a 2 core, but its a bit wider and did present some unforeseen problems like the battery tray wouldnt fit anymore, so be careful if you start looking to change it

Posts: 19146 Location: bishop, ca | Ben, Big M on our website, will have good upper and lower radiator tanks; you may have to have Big M send their 'core' radiator to a local shop where the tank(s) can be re-soldered/repaired (while you 'wait').... Almost any 'old' radiator will require some sort of repair/overhaul work to its upper and/or lower tanks, and, you might elect to have another row of cooling fins be added to your 'old' subject-radiator, too. Best to get your replacement radiator become fully repaired and renovated before its installation into your ride.

Temporarily suspended to cool off Posts: 316 | the problem is, I don't have a radiator, at all. period, i've got nothing to work with but a mal-fitting ford radiator. So I need at least a leaky core that I can rob the tanks and side ribs off of so that I can solder a new core too it. I can do the repair myself but I can't find tanks or the brace anywhere, nor can I find any information on what years are even sort of interchangable. Basically I need an entire radiator, and one with the tanks on the top and bottom, otherwise i'm going to keep fighting with the fitment problems.
