I need to replace the entire system on my 62 Imperial, y-tube and back. I've researched some for suppliers. Not sure if I'll go single or dual yet. Looking for recommendations from the group for sources. Thanks, Dave

Try Martin Johnson 231 723-5343 in Michigan. He should have your exhaust pieces and can get the muffler / resonator as well.

I purchased a Waldron's exhaust for my 60 Imperial. This was a dual system with the resonators and silencers. The system fit very well, apparently they are made using the old factory templates, using the original tube sizes, and they look exactly like pics I have seen of the original systems, including the ball and socket joints just down stream of the manifold pipes. The boxes (4 off, 2 resonators and 2 silencers) were all stainless, as were clamps and hangers. The clamps were poor quality, so I replaced them with good quality steel units. One resonator had a rattle coming from inside, but that has stopped now I have done a few thousand miles. The system cost me just over $600 2 years ago, the best price I got locally for a custom made stainless steel system was $2K (I am in Australia).

Here is a link.

Hope this helps.

Steve.

Hola Dave

In 1962 every "normal" Imperials Exhaust was an Single Exhaust with The Unit flavoring The Left. The only OEM 1962 Imperial to have A Dual Exhaust was any convertible ( this was done for
a marketing image reason ).

Ask The local MoPar Club of where/ which Muffler Shop does a Good Job and take your Imperial there.

---------
Any Local NAPA still has a OEM Quality Muffler and Resonator. The longer the units --- the better your Exhaust Note will sound when Fall Arrives.

All Imperials have The MoPar Hook vs a straight pipe tail pipe. Nothing of your Exhaust System should be seen.
