Hey guys...I was reading a few posts earlier, and there was a thread concerning lowering, reversing the lower leaves or lowering blocks. I did blocks before, (aluminum units from moon) and they basically cracked... I was also wondering about cranking the front down again, as the camber/caster totally wasted the inside tread on my pirellis (120 bucks a pop...OUCH!)...Volare spindles will give the dodge an inch of drop, but they fit 60 dodges, and I am not sure if they will fit my application or not. What KYB shocks can I run (yeah modification, bla, bla, bla...), and what about the poly bushings...HELP ME GUYS!

The epitome of frustration!! I just want this forsaken thing together by the end of july...All I need are those !!%^%%$# motor mounts, a fender and my suspension, and a hot chick for the back of my suzuki!!
So, what's better, lowering blocks or taking out/reversing leaf springs?
Also, should I run '65 C-body KYBs in the front and Challenger units in the back?

A hot chick for the back of your suzuki???
You've got more chance of knitting fog!!!

I'm surprised the lowering blocks cracked mate, maybe they were imported Taiwanese tat, I can't imagine decent quality blocks doing that. The best way though, in my opinion, would be to take a leaf out or de-arch the rear.
The front KYBs will fit but I think you have to open out an eye or something, never done it but I seem to recall somebody on here mentioning it.

I am getting the major things finished first...but when the time comes to get the thing off jackstands I will be ready...The driveway here is narrow, steep and intended for model As...I had a hell of a time when I had the car lowered before because I would scrape at a certain point in the driveway...I wont be going up the driveway with this thing after july...thank god!!!

yep, cheap quality, good quality aluminum does not corrode, at least not in salt water. i wonder if these things are DOT approved.

Kelly, you don t want to reverse your leaf springs, all the work you are putting in your car you will have a terrible ride.Aluminum blocks ain t worth a didly.Go to your local suspension shop and get a set of steel blocks/cast.You will keep your ride quality and get the stance you want. You could de arch your spings then you would need a new leaf in each side to support them from de arching more. You could also remove a leaf but that too would affect your ride quality.Just my 2 cent worth.Good luck,Charlie
