I attended this auction as I was in Santa Monica for business. This show reconfirmed my belief in having to see a car at an auction before buying. The 300F vert, was a major project. It had SERIOUS rust coming through the lower rockers, had nothing done below the car and had a major bondo crack below taillight bezel on driver side. This car was a major project and I was shocked it was bid to even 70k. I believe the owner was wanting 100k.
The G was a great looking car. Had some issues, but nothing major. It was originally listed as no reserve and then magically found a reserve AFTER the car went off the block, very shady. The car was bid to 100k, which I believe was an excellent deal on the car. It went on and they were looking at 125k.
The 61 chrysler was a nice high driver car and was bought pretty well. I think the buyer would be happy.
The 300F was drop dead awesome. Great car to see in person. Here are some pictures of them. I included the custom car only because of the 300F dash and taillights, was pretty cool:
Not a forward look, but this thing was DROP dead beautiful. Sold for 1.8 million!

Location: Houston | Thankfully I bought my FL car from the owner. He was jerky but at least not as bad as an auction/dealer situation.

| I don't have a problem buying from an auction, but I still want to put my eyes on a car. I'm not getting burned anymore on those. The auction was fun to go to, a ton of different cars. The staff was very friendly. Much better than a barrett Jackson style |

Do all auctions 'rifle' the cars across the block as quickly as B-J or is it at a slower pace ? Ron |

| The bidding was a bit slower, but at a good pace. The whole experience seemed very friendly. They still moved quite a few cars through and would sit on some to try and let them build. I really enjoyed it, was in an airplane hanger. The weather on Saturday was horrible, TONS of rain, which put a damper on things a bit. |
