  Hello guys,

I'm hoping some of you New Yorker owners can help me.  I'm trying to solve a mystery with the engine in my car.  It's a New Yorker engine and my car is not a New Yorker.

I NEED to find out when approximately my engine (NE55-11684) was built!  I'm hoping to find 1955 New Yorker owners with cars built BEFORE March 1955.  If your car was built before March, can you post (or PM me) your engine number and build date?

  I REALLY APPRECIATE ANY HELP!

  Thank you guys....

   Josh

If that is the correct engine # (hasn't been modified) it is correct for a 55 New Yorker. What do you mean by mystery engine? It should be a 331 hemi. Pictures?

I think he means that his car has a New Yorker engine in it, but the car itself is not a New Yorker.

Hi guys. Sorry I wasn't very clear... I was typing on a phone, in a crowd.

I'm trying to find what month that engine was from... Approximately. Based on similar New Yorker engine numbers. I'm thinking NOV-Feb, but want to confirm.

Thanks guys!

Josh
