Any ideas how to attach the window fuzzies or sometimes referred to as "cat whiskers"- these are the pieces that run on either side of the of the top of the door -

The door panel side is not a problem I stapled them- but am having a little trouble with the car body side

Thanks in advance
Casey

I used small self tapping screws and speed nuts (like what you get with speakers) to put mine on

Tried pop rivets but it was hard to get the rivet gun in

I was able to force the screws in thru the cats whiskers, they cleared the glass no problem

The stuff that's been installed on my Saratoga is coming apart - the fuzz is coming off the backing just from putting the windows up and down. So, yeah, watch what you get!

Thanks for the suggestions- speed nuts and screws seems like a great idea-
I bought the set from Andy Bernbaum years ago- they seem to hold up- Also check your local glass show for replacements-

Thanks you

Just a note on this... On the outside of the doors of my '57 Plym 4dr I used the edge clips, but the window sweeper (fuzzy, whatever) sits quite low. For the inside I decided to recreate the original staples. I got a spool of 1mm stainless steel wire (cheap off eBay), made a template of the holes in the garnish molding with masking tape, transferred it to the sweeper and used a 2mm drill to make small holes. Then cut about an inch of wire, bent into the shape of a stable and used needle nosed pliers to feed it through the sweeper, the molding and then bent the legs over. It sits exactly right, and was much less expensive than buying clips and doesn't require any drilling into metal.

I used chrome edged sweeper as that was what was available locally, and it looks really cool!

This is exactly how I did it too - works really nice with a good fit!

I also followed some guidance I saw somewhere on Chryslers - cut away the end of the sweeper and bend the chrome part down for a nice finished look!

The whiskers were not an issue for me. I underestimated the channel. I allowed for about a foot below the window line but the channel was needed all the way down to the bottom of the rolled down window. Doh!
