I have a 361 in my 1958 Custom Royal, and I wonder if I have the right carb. in it.It seems like it runs lean. The # on it reads 2729S on it. If anyone ca tell me if it is the right one for that motor !

Is your carb a 1,2,or 4 barrel ? My book says that 2729S is a single barrel universal carb. Carb on a 58 Dodge with 361 and automatic trans should be 2642S 4 barrel

Yes, my carb. is a 4 barrel and it is stamped Am2729S. And that # comes up as a 2 barrel for a 4 cyl tractor in the book.
Thank you for the info, for the right #

I believe the carb you need is 2642s , same as the 58 Desoto Fireflite . I actually have a spare one in transit .
