Hi,
I'm looking for a dome light lens. I see two different vendors on ebay have them - one for $45.00 and one for $78.88.

Does anyone know the difference and if they're decent? If they're not good are there any recommendations for where I can find the best quality?

Thanks,

They are both the same , $45 at Vans and $78 at Atlas auto parts (imonit on ebay ) , he just tacks more money on . They are actually made by Vans Auto LLC and they are completely woeful, they are to wide , to long and the pin isn't deep enough to locate it like original . I bought 4 o them when he first made them and had it out with him that they didn't fit , and he insisted that a test one was fitted by Murray Park and signed off to be perfect and he produced them . My advice is don't buy one you will be sorry .

Thank you for sharing your experience James. Do you know of anyone selling an accurate reproduction? Right now I don't have a lens. If there are no other options, I suppose trying to modify one of Vans to fit would be better than nothing. At least now I know what to expect if I end up buying one.

Thanks again,

As James stated, they don't fit well, but I don't know of any other options. I was able to make them work with some patience getting the pins to seat properly in the hole.

Thank you Nathan. It definitely helps hearing from those who have "been there and done that."

George Laurie makes excellent examples of these dome light lenses.
Send away your money now, and you might be lucky to get something in well under 10 years.
That's the trouble with George. His products are excellent. His service and communication is the worst bar none!
Glenn.
