Location: Northern California		Tomorrow I'm picking up my Desoto. I'm going to have to tow it approx 50 miles, then onto a trailer. Is this going to be alright? It has a Powerflite transmission. Thanks

Location: Parts Unknown		Remove the driveshaft if you will be flat towing for that distance. Also, be
aware that the e-brake will be disconnected in the process, so you will need
to take appropriate measures for any rollaway issues that might result ! ...
like squashing the guy under the car removing the driveshaft !

You need a 1/4" drive socket set with both deep and standard sockets, and
some open end wrenches. Memory tells me the size is 7/16", but the old brain
is getting fuzzy. Removing it after a long sit might prove a little crusty, but
once oiled up and done, you'll find you can whip this dude in and out in five
minutes. Too dammed easy !
