Temporarily suspended to cool off Posts: 316 | It has the one speaker am radio, power steering, and an A318. The thing is, so much of this car is lost. I bought it, and drive it, it's a runner. All of the interior was gone, no seat, no door panels, no headliner, no carpets, so, god only knows what was in there from the factory. on that trm code... that could be an 8 or a 7 instead of 0? It's darn hard to read, even in person. I need to just pull it off the car and clean it up. Even the engine is questionable as it's a Plymouth coded 2bbl engine in it. The engine also was painted black and had a engine builder tag on it listing out the machine work done to it. The origonal axle is gone, replaced with a 1964 C-body unit. so no clues there. The front brakes were of correct style but mis matched, 11x2 on one side and 11x2.5 on the other. Those have both been replaced with 1964 C-body spindles and 11x3 drums. Not a move I wanted to make but the spindle was tore all to hell on one side and I had the c-body spindles laying around. On the paint, maaaybe it says UT2 instead? That said, the back sides of the front fenders are showing deep burgandy, and there are spots of it showing up here and there on the back of the car as well. On the top, I see a metallic cream or light brown. It's almost like it should have said TO2 not OT2. You know the car... the more I work on it the stranger it gets. The paint seems like a rare combo, and I was going to build this car into a race car just because it's missing so many parts and it's so beat up. But if it's a rare paint code I would rather not. Would be cool if someone could get the chrysler paper work for this thing.

Expert Posts: 1231 Location: York County, PA | I think you need to take the plate off and clean it up real good to be able to read it. Some of the info. doesn't jive. The 318 engine is the only engine not stamped, the 6 cylinder, the 383, 413, and 361 were all stamped. Originally my car was dark brown roof and Fawn body, that will be changed. The Fawn looks like baby s**t when it fades.

Expert Posts: 1819 Location: Vancouver, BC | If you are talking about the body tag, only the options were entered below the letters. Thus if there was no stamp on the tag under the letter for the engine, the car had a slant six if it was model D3, and a 318 engine if it was model D4. The engine number on a 318 should be stamped on a machined pad on the left front of the block just below the head. If the number you find is P-318-xxxx, it is the correct engine. The "P" stands for model year, 1960, and not Plymouth.

Temporarily suspended to cool off Posts: 316 | and the engine is not labelled P-318. It was U something I think, I don't recall. Again, it's also not the 4bbl model. The engine has also been remanufactured at some point. That said I do beleive the car was a 318 automatic car from the factory.
