I have a 1958 plymouth plaza business coupe that I would like to fully decode before I put it up for sale, I have pictures of the firewall tag and the vin plate, I do not have an online host for my pics, can someone allow me to send the pics to their email and post them for me, I am interested in any decoding on both beyond what I know about the car, thanks.

VIN is LP1L1982 on the vin tag, it is a little fuzzy in the pic. 1ST Dibs! Lets see some pics of the car. Marc.

VIN is LP1L1982, as the pic is a little fuzzy, data tag pic is real clear, it is a radio delete, heater delete, manual steering, manual shift, manual brakes, rubber mat, fixed window, no window regulators, no back seat car, in iceberg white, has original vin tag and firewall tag, missing engine and trans. otherwise complete, I believe it to be a literal no option car.

All I have deciphered is that L=58, P=plymouth, 1=6 cylinder, L=plaza in this instance, vin/production started with 1001 if I am not mistaken so number 982 car made, LA car, XXX=iceberg white paint, 110=business coupe, the rest I am unsure about, thanks.

My business coupe is the same except it came with a V-8, even same color. Would you check if the brackets for the rear seat have been cut off? I suspect this was done on mine from the factory because it was ordered without the rear seat.

58 coupe, Yes they are, I never noticed that before but the edges of what is left of the existing bracket show signs of where they were cut, as if by a small torch, how far away is your vin from mine, maybe they were made pretty close together.

I thought our numbers might be closer, since they were same car, same color, I guess the 1,472 built were randomly built, thought maybe they were built in order since so many of them were for law enforcement and fleet duty/sales, your number is higher than I would have expected with the vin starting with 1001, or am I mistaken?
Does anyone have any ideas on the SO, NO and TR lines on the body tag as far as the codes they show, thanks.
