Location: Layton, Utah | Finally got time to work on the mailbox. The body filler has shrunk on the trunk lid over the last few months and worked down beautifully. They sure did not spend a whole lot of time in 1960 working down the lead work, I worked with both sides and it turned out pretty nice. Just needed some more leveling. She is almost ready for paint. Hopefully by spring time I can get her mounted at my house. Oh come on you sicko's, not that kind of mounting. But you have to admit the design makes it tempting. DeSoto lives !!!

Location: Branson, MO | Best lookin' mailbox I've ever seen and it isn't even finished. Look forward to seeing pictures when it's done.
Sure hope you don't have youths with baseball bats like we used to have in our old neighborhood driving around looking to destroy mailboxes.

Location: Layton, Utah | Well, I try to stay on the neighborhood kids good side, but let's hope not anyway. It came from a rusty winterberry red 60 Adventurer 4 door hardtop that chose to linger in humid Texas so it could not end it's life, but live in many parts of the world like she always wanted. DeSoto lives !!! |
