I´ve made some 1958 Plymouth Fury fin scripts. Originals are very hard to find.

The core material is a strong resin that has been covered with a primer, then a special aluminium layer and at last a durable clear coat layer. Optically you can´t tell it apart from galvanic chrome. The coating does not yellow like other spray on chrome methods.

It comes with 4 studs on the backside as the original one has. You have to be careful with these studs. I do not recommend using self cutting nuts like the original was fitted. They may break being twisted. I would use bodywork plasticine from the back to lock them. On originals, the studs are also often broken, I guess for the same reason.

Price: $185 per piece, $370 for a set
Shipping: $17,50 without insurance, $39,50 including insurance

Like the FL emblem and the caps, this price also does not cover my expenditure setup costs.

I´ve made 6 and there´s only one set left which I put on ebay. I do not plan to make more until there is really serious interest. So if you really need them, don´t miss your chance on the auction.

All sold out.

The project was a try. What I wanted to show is making these parts is possible and the result is coming out nicely. On the other hand, demand is low and setup costs are high what makes it some kind of uneconomic. Even if an amount of 20+ would be produced there won´t be a considerable price cut. I do not plan to make them again until there is serious demand and the willingness to pay the value.

Anyone here restoring a 58 Fury or building a Fury clone?

I´ve made 2 more pairs. Price is the same as before.
