Location: Northeast		Our 1959 Imperial hubcaps have 3 screws on the back side. I removed them hoping I could disassemble the hubcaps to polish & recolor the gold cog in the center. I soaked all junctions with PB Blaster, and still can't seem to get anything to move. Are the hubcaps multi-piece? And if so, what's the trick to getting them apart?

Location: Northeast		What, exactly, comes loose? I tried hitting the teeth of the cog with a hammer against a wood (soft) drift. Nothing budged. I tried spinning just the center. Nothing budged. What is attached to what, and what is free to move on its own? There appears to be 3 pieces; the outer main body, the gold cog, and the stainless center. Am I right? Or am I about to destroy a precious original piece?

Location: Under the X in Texas		The "cog" is aluminum casting, right? The hubcap is stamped stainless. The screws held it together at the factory. Has there been someone into these with epoxy or silicone or something to stop a rattle? I dunno, sir, you've got it in front of you. I don't currently own one to disassemble and take photos.

Location: Under the X in Texas		No, all are not 15s. '57 and '58 are 14". Remarkably, '59 returned to 15" wheels.
