What 15" wheel will work for the dog dish caps? Anyone mess with this before? I need 15" to clear the 4 wheel disc brake conversion. Thanks in advance...

I believe any 15 inch MoPar wheel from a rear wheel drive police car will work even well into the '80s like Fury, Diplomat, etc. Late '60s and up rear wheel drive models should work as well - police or not as long as they have the nubs.

I found a set of 15 x 5.5 with the 5x4.5 bolt pattern (standard Mopar and Ford) These came off an A100 van.

You guys are missing the fact that he is talking about a '57 Dodge. It has much bigger dog dishes than the newer stuff. To get around this, you can get a set of 15" wheels from a '56 or older car, but they won't work with the larger disc brakes either (I have a set here that I have tried). The best solution is probably to get some small nubbed later wheels and weld 1/2" rod or tube to the nubs to extend them out to the proper dimension. Like this photo. Then you can fit your original dog dish caps on the newer wheels.

By the way, Andrew. You are running Valiant caps. That's why they fit the smaller cap wheels. The proper '61 Plymouth caps look like this and are bigger.

I have seen ball bearings welded to the wheels to hold a hub cap. it gives the cap something to wrap around.

You are correct Powerflight. My mistake. I pulled the 14" so I could run these instead of the ones you pictured. I like the look of Valiant ones better.
