Elite Veteran Posts: 1150 Location: Southern California | Meet "Marcie" Snagged her up back in October 2014 at the Fall Fling mopar show in Van Nuys Ca. I had a car like this before and regretted selling it, worst sellers remorse I ever had. Funny thing is, I found this car and bought it from the same guy I bought the first one from, how cool is that! Anyhow shes not perfect but the goal was to build a solid clean driver and that's what we did. We rebuilt the original drivetrain, RB 383 with the A488 early Torqueflight, full chassis resto, disc brakes, driveline, rear end rebuild, new rear leafs, recored rad, gas tank, steering gearbox, too much to list but pretty much from radiator to exhaust tips was restored. its been a long 18 months but shes finally home! below are some pics of the restoration journey enjoy. Elite Veteran Posts: 836 Location: Layton, Utah | Way cool and awesome looking !!! I love the interior, I'll bet you feel like your in a different world driving down the road. My Challenger is similar with an all bright blue interior (everything but the wood grain steering wheel). Chrysler lives !!!

Expert Posts: 2636 Location: Minor Hill, TN | I remember looking at 1 at a 1960 Chrysler windsor about a couple weeks after I totaled my '57 plymouth. I was told about the car from 1 of my regular customers. I went to look at the car it was a green 2drht with a 383 under the hood I believe the car also has ps,pb and factory air. There are times I wish I grabbed it but oh well I hope it went to a good owner This happened when I was living in Palm Bay FL I also remember seeing the car in Palm Bay. I will admit that was also 1 of the forward looks on my list of car when I was looking for a car for shows, pleasure , cruise ins and parades. Edited by 1961plymouthfury 2016-03-29 4:17 PM

Elite Veteran Posts: 1150 Location: Southern California | super bummed about my engine, just found out from my new mechanic that its blowing water and pressurizing on the right side of the engine. My new mechanic was just going to just button some things up when he discovered the problem. Really bummed the engine will have to get torn down and rebuilt again. It is under warranty so that will be covered (to long block). Anyone know what the problem could be? the E-tabs are still in tack. I can only guess its either a cracked head, cracked cylinder wall or not sure what else really. I'm sure they will let me know eventually. Anyone here have to build there rebuild twice? I'm pissed.

Expert 5K+ Posts: 7808 Location: Williams California | These kinds of things do happen in the repair business. What separates good from bad is the shop's willingness to tackle the problem, whether it was their doing, or a part problem. An honest shop will cover any extra labor and parts, it the problem was caused in their shop. ---John
