can anyone show a picture of junction block on 1956 custom royal,? I have very thin wires and some disconnected wires all hanging in front of my junction block and I would love to replace wires and connect correctly. any diagram and help I would appreciate. I also need some pics of under dash connections cause I have no dash lights, I have head lights and brake lights no turn signals and no park lights in front, when lever is in park position my key illuminates but thats it.

Mike,

I don't really know what you mean by "junction box". Can you explain? As for the dash lights, the first place I would check is dimmer. There should be a knob at the bottom of the dash to the left of the steering column that points down towards your feet. Give it a twist with the lights on to see if you get any action on the dash. My dimmer switch is "dirty" so I occasionally lose my dash lights, but a slight twist or tap will usually get them fired up. If you haven't played with it, the dimmer could just be turned off. I have also usually solved my the turn signal issues on my '56's by replacing the flasher which should be hanging just under the dash to the left of the column.

Here is a pick of where the dimmer switch is located.

This guy sells laminated color 11x17" wiring diagrams. I found this very helpful when debugging wiring problems. He doesn't have all makes, but does have 56 Dodge. He also has more that aren't listed on his website (like 55 Desoto).

Mike, I can get you a picture over the weekend, but you are way better off with a wiring diagram. Do you have a factory service manual? It is a must own, but I can probably get you a picture of the diagram from the book.
