| The engine acts like the carb. is boiling away the gas when it is hot. The engine has just been rebuilt, it runs fine until it reaches 190 degrees at the top hose at the rad. At first I thought it was the heat riser valve but it is the same when I wired it open. I have done a compression test and all are 160 lbs. I have sprayed around the intake manifold and the carb. gasket with no change in RPM. Any other suggestions would be appreciated. |

Location: N.W. Fla. | Possibly the crappy gas we have today. Might have to add a phenolic spacer to keep the carb cooler. |

Location: Perth Australia | Fuel boiling in the carb is usually a only a problem when you stop an engine, then restart, unless your getting a vapour lock?
What is the engine doing, whats the set up (2 barrel, 4 barrel, 2x4, 3x2, injected)?
And have you rebuilt the carb and is it new fuel and did the car sit for a while ect
